Tawau Hill Park(斗湖山公園)!!!

We SSS are not just promote diving but also promote of our rainforest here in Sabah, Borneo. Recently we went for a trip to Tawau Hill Park that located in the district of Tawau and about 30minute road journey from Tawau town. The Hill Park was not very known to many foreigners but very well known to our local folk here. Why we pick this park because we believe it’s got huge potential on Tourism Industry but pity that not much has been done yet. For those really love of Mother’s Nature and not afraid of any insects or leeches then this will be for very relaxing and enjoyable of the surrounding nature environment. The Tawau Hill Park was under the management of Sabah Park. The Sabah Park not just protected the Forestry but had done some trail for trekking, camping, botanical garden, soon to be open of birds watching trail, canopy walk for observe wild life, unique flora & fauna and research center. Beside the above mentions that inside the hill park it has a hot spring, waterfall, 7 main rivers and 2 mountains – Mt.Lucia & Mt.Magdalena. It 27,972 hectares primary forests has lots kinds of tall trees but one species of Shorea Faguetiana Heim (Seraya Kuning Siput) was recorded the tallest tropical tree in the world – 88.32 meter.

We stay for 2D/1N and special requested for a night walk with a guide. The said arrangement of guide can requested early at Park office and small amount reward for excellent service. Our Jungle walk took about 2 hours and was really fun and enjoyed watching the frogs, spiders, scorpion, insects and wildlife such as Moon rat, Flying squirrel, Small deer and an Owl. A night stay in the Lodge was really cold and the shower water was like ice water. Early morning jog at the park surrounding was really fresh and cool. We went to visit the botanical garden and most of the unique flora & fauna can be observing here especially the wild Orchid flowers. Some of the herb, plants, flower and others were discover in a new species too!! At the botanical garden can spend half a day taking pictures and enjoy the view in it. During daylight we saw many Long Tailed Macaques, a Red Leaf Monkey, Hornbill, Birds, Butterflies, Black Squirrel and Insects in the wild at the park. We can see also in the cage of a Leopard Cat, Eagles and wild chicken that saved by the Park Ranger at nearby plantation.

Sabah, Borneo has many rainforests but other was already well known because of the tourism promotion and the write up in internet that now cause lots traffic. We like to let everyone know that please visit the rainforest close to where you visit and stay for more days and not rushing to other place. In each district has its own rainforest where close by but some was not open for tourist or local yet due to manpower or fund or others. The rainforest really need to protect and care before it was destroying by agricultures purpose or others. It just like the same as in Sipadan Island many people want to go there even they know about limited quota but we have huge Tun Sakaran Marine Park that nearby and yet wait for discovery!! Imagine a place many people visited what will happen if the control was not done well or even done very well?? We really need everyone help to protect and preserve what has created for passed on to our next generation. Do you think other will?? How about you?? 我們蘇拉威西海底探险不只是促進潛水，但也促進了我們在這裡沙巴熱帶雨林，婆羅洲。最近我們去遊了斗湖 山公園是坐落在斗湖區內道路約 30分鐘路程從斗湖城出發。該山公園不是很多外國人知道，但我們當地的民俗在這裡非常熟悉。我們為什麼選擇這個公園？因為我們相信它有巨大的旅遊業潛力， 但可惜的對其他旅遊業，還沒有開始做這個斗湖山公園行業。對於那些真正熱愛熱帶雨林的，而不是害怕任何昆蟲或水蛭那麼這將是非常輕鬆和愉快的觀察自然環境 周圍。斗湖山公園管理是下在沙巴公園的事業。沙巴公園不僅保護了森林，但已做了一些線索的徒步行徑，野山行徑，野營，植物園，即將開放的鳥類觀賞徑，樹冠 步行觀察野生動物徑，植物及動物獨特的研究中心。除了提到上述山公園內還有 – 溫泉，瀑布，7條主要河流和2座山 – Mt.Lucia ＆ Mt.Magdalena。它27,972公頃原始森林擁有許多種高大的樹木，有一個樹種 – Shorea Faguetiana Heim（Seraya Kuning Siput）錄得世界最高熱帶雨林的樹木 – 88.32米。

我們留2D/1N和特殊要求夜晚叢林漫步指導。上述安排的嚮導，請提前於公園辦事處及酬勞獎勵優秀的導遊服務。我們的叢林步行需約 2小時，真的很歡喜及有趣看到青蛙，蜘蛛，蝎子，昆蟲和野生動物，如月球鼠，鼯鼠，鹿和一小貓頭鷹。晚上住在宿舍真的很冷 – 這是自然冷，淋浴水就像冰水。清晨慢跑在公園周圍真是清爽和新鮮空氣。我們也去參觀植物園和看到最獨特的植物群，特別是在這裡可以觀察野生蘭花的花朵。在 這斗湖山公園裡一些草藥，植物，花卉還是個新發現的特別植物群種！在植物園可以花半天的時間拍照，欣賞美景。白天在公園，我們看到許多長尾獼猴，紅色葉 猴，犀鳥，鳥類，蝴蝶，黑松鼠和野生昆蟲。我們也可以看到個籠子裡的豹貓，鷹和野生山雞在公園護林員下在附近的種植園挽救的。

沙巴，婆羅洲的雨林有很多，但有幾個熱帶雨林已經眾所周知，因為旅遊業推廣旅遊套餐和促進寫在互聯網上，現在很多遊客來到觀光。我們希望讓大家知 道，請訪問雨熱帶林靠近你觀光和逗留，而不是急於向其他地方。在沙巴每個區都有自己的熱帶雨林，但還有其中一些沒被當地土方開發,尚未由於人手或基金或其 他。婆羅洲的熱帶雨林真正需要保護和照顧，不然會摧毀為農業目的或其他。想像一下，一個地方有許多人參觀了會發生什麼事，如果控制做得不好？甚至做得很 好？這就像在西巴丹島一樣，很多人想去那裡，他們也知道名額有限，但我們有龐大Tun Sakaran海洋公園在附近等候，並為尚未發現！！我們真的需要大家的幫助，以為保護和保存創造的傳給我們下一代。你認為其他會跟隨做嗎？你會跟隨做 嗎？如果來到觀光任何熱帶雨林請想想它無價之寶！您的捐款可以幫助拯救保留一根草一朵花一棵樹！現在為面前還未晚時請熱愛觀光我們的大自然！以下所有相機 圖片拍攝了在斗湖山公園。希望每一張照片能夠的告訴大家！謝謝！
