Even though Semporna is consider a small town but it has links to both international and national airports. Malaysian Airlines, MAS Wing and Air Asia provides daily direct flights to Tawau Airport from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Kota Kinabalu International Airport, Sandakan Airport and Singapore. Tawau Airport is located one hours from Semporna by land and most pick up by individual Tour or Resort operators but you can take taxi, or went down with Airport bus to Tawau town then take schedule coach or mini bus to go to Semporna.

Semporna can also be reached by coach from Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan. Coach rides take about 8 hours from Kota Kinabalu and 5 hours from Sandakan bring you direct to Semporna.
